About ONDEC
The Oklahoma Northern District Ethics Council (ONDEC) is a nonprofit civic documentation organization established to preserve records and make public process reviewable.
ONDEC was created in response to a recurring problem across public systems: when records are missing, delayed, or undocumented, accountability becomes impossible. Decisions appear final not because they were justified, but because the trail disappeared.
ONDEC exists to prevent that loss.
Organizational Focus
Rather than providing services or advocacy, ONDEC focuses on:
- Records preservation and retention
- Documentation of procedural response behavior
- Verification and publication of timelines
- Maintenance of neutral, source-based public indexes
This approach allows review without speculation and transparency without escalation.
What ONDEC Is Not
ONDEC is not a law firm.
ONDEC is not an advocacy organization.
ONDEC does not litigate, campaign, or recommend outcomes.
Its function is documentation - not persuasion.
